National Association of Muslim Americans on Scouting (NAMAS) Launches Website, Social Media Sites, and Newsletter

As-Salaamu Alaikum. The National Association of Muslim Americans on Scouting (NAMAS) , based in Washington, DC, is pleased to announce the launching of its website, social media pages and newsletter. They are all joined together to help improve communications in order to facilitate coordinated efforts to improve the Scouting program for Muslim Youth in America. Posts made to the website, will be posted to Facebook and Twitter, and will be summarized in a weekly and monthly newsletter.

Individuals can sign-up for the NAMAS newsletter at the NAMAS website of Just click on the Mailing List link. On a monthly basis, subscribers will receive news items relevant to Muslim Scouting Nationwide. Once signed-up, subscribers can modify their profile and provide additional information such as which Scouting program they belong to in order to receive on a weekly basis, a Newsletter of relevant information for their specific Scouting area delivered to their inbox.

Muslim Scouting Units can also register their unit at Membership is currently free of charge. Just click on the Membership link to register your unit. Registered units will be eligible for discounted scouting software, access to special events, and visibility in the unit membership database to help new members more easily find you.

NAMAS is looking for volunteers from Muslim Scouts across the United States to share their stories, experiences, and leadership.
